I’m J.D. Harbor, a romance novelist with a passion for stories that unfold on the high seas. I spent years as a military photojournalist, where I discovered my writing voice while capturing moments and sharing stories in the field. Now, I’ve traded my camera for a keyboard, crafting tales of connection, adventure, and self-discovery set against the unique backdrop of cruise ships.

My upcoming companion novels, Emerald Tide and Sapphire Seas, will kick off my RomantiSea Serenades series, exploring love and personal growth found at sea. These dual books share a love connection between two lead characters brought together by fate on a cruise. But while their romance spans both stories, each book focuses on one character’s personal journey, diving into their dreams, fears, and paths to self-discovery. Inspired by my own experience of meeting my wife on a similar voyage, these books capture the magic of finding love when you least expect it. After all, the tide always knows where it’s going, even if we don’t.

Originally from Utah, I now call Central Florida home with my wife and our two kids. We share a love for cruising and are always dreaming up our next adventure on the open water.
